What time can I hire a Jumping Castle?

Our standard hire windows for 4-hour and 7-hour packages run between 7:30am and 4:30pm (5pm through daylight savings months).
Need a later finish? We offer overnight hire and extended hours—perfect for parties finishing after standard times.

Can I hire a Jumping Castle overnight?

Yes—overnight hire is available for secure, fenced yards with no loose pets.
Simply switch the unit off at night and back on the next morning to air out.
Overnight hire fee: $100

Overnight hire is ideal for events finishing after standard hours -
Late pack-downs after 4:30pm (5pm through daylight savings months) start from $50—please confirm at time of booking.

Is a deposit required?

Usually not. During peak periods, we may request a $50 deposit to secure your booking via credit card or EFT.
Deposits are refundable only in the event of weather-related cancellations.

What if I need to cancel?

Weather cancellations:
If severe weather is forecast, we’ll offer a full credit or reschedule. Updates are provided the day before your event.
If you choose to proceed against advice and the equipment isn’t used, no refund applies.

Other cancellations:

  • More than 2 weeks’ notice: full refund
  • Less than 2 weeks: up to 50% of booking charged
  • Less than 1 week: up to full booking price charged

Late cancellations affect availability for other customers.

Booking alterations:
If equipment must be changed due to weather, access, or space, we reserve the right to charge for the original item. A credit may be offered for the difference in value.

What if setup isn’t possible?

If setup can’t proceed due to access issues, unsafe surfaces, slopes, or other conditions outlined in your confirmation email, the full hire fee will be charged.
We provide clear setup guidelines to ensure a safe and successful delivery.

Will someone stay during the event?

Not for standard private hires.
For OSHC programs, school events, fetes, and corporate functions, we offer trained supervisors—just ask for a quote.

Do you offer qualified supervisors?

Yes—our experienced team can supervise at private, public, school, OSHC, or corporate events.

How much space and access do I need?

Most inflatables require 1m wide clear access.
Setup areas range from 5x5m to 20x20m depending on the item.
Let us know about stairs or slopes—additional fees may apply.
Vehicle access within 10m is required for large items or multiple units.

How long does setup take?

Setup and pack-down typically takes 20–40 minutes.
Clear access helps speed things up. Our team handles everything—no lifting required.

Does the Jumping Castle need to be on grass?

We require clean, flat ground—ideally grass or indoor surfaces like gym floors.
Ride-on inflatables cannot be set up on hard outdoor surfaces.
Power access is preferred; generators are available if needed (fees apply).

How do I book?

What does it cost?

Castle Capers offers competitive pricing across Adelaide.
Hire starts from $190, with price-beat guarantees available on comparable services.

What happens on the day?

Our installer will arrive at least 1 hour before your booking starts—sometimes earlier depending on the schedule.
Just be home to show us the setup location and provide power access. We’ll handle the rest.

What if I don’t have enough space?

Consider hiring a local hall, school, community centre, or a friend’s backyard.
Many venues with high ceilings can accommodate our inflatables indoors.
Each product page lists minimum space requirements—please check before booking.

Do I need to supervise the hire?

Yes—a responsible adult (18+) must supervise at all times.
We provide safety instructions, or you can hire a trained supervisor from us (fees apply).

Can I hire a Jumping Castle in a public park?

Yes—with council approval. Councils may charge a small fee.
We can provide insurance certificates and trained supervisors if required.

Why is Castle Capers equipment so safe?

We only supply premium-grade inflatables that meet or exceed Australian Standard 3533.
Our Jumping Castles are inspected regularly, including by a WorkSafe SA-recommended engineer, even though it’s no longer mandatory.
Safety is built into every hire.

Are you insured?

Yes—we carry $20 million in public and product liability insurance through a leading provider in the amusement industry.
Certificates available on request.

Who is responsible during the hire?

We’re responsible for safe setup and equipment condition.
The hirer is responsible for supervision and safe use, unless you’ve booked a Castle Capers supervisor.
Think of it like a rental car—once it’s handed over, it’s your responsibility to drive safely.

What is your weather policy?

If heavy rain or winds over 40km/h are forecast, we may cancel for safety.
We’ll offer a full refund or suggest suitable alternatives like smaller, patio-friendly inflatables.

What power is required?

A standard 240V power point should be within 20m of the setup location.
If it’s further than 20m, let us know—we may need to supply a generator (fees apply).
The outlet should be on its own circuit, not shared with other high-draw appliances.

Fun Food Machines

Slushie Machines – How long do they take to set up?

Setup is quick and easy. Our delivery team will wheel in the machine, fill it with your chosen mix, and switch it on.
The process takes less than 10 minutes. Slushie machines take approximately 1 hour to freeze.

Troubleshooting tips:

  • Ensure switches are set to “freeze”
  • Check auger switches are turned on
  • Switch the machine off and on twice
  • Maintain 30cm of clear space around the machine
  • If mix isn’t dispensing, push a straw up the spout to dislodge ice crystals

Popcorn Machines – Are they easy to use?

Yes—our popcorn machines are simple and fuss-free.
Just follow these steps:

  1. Turn on and warm up for 3–4 minutes
  2. Add ¼ cup of oil to the kettle
  3. Add 1 cup of kernels (measuring cups provided)
  4. Shut the lid and let pop for ~3 minutes
  5. Open lid, lower kettle, and empty
  6. Add 1 tsp of butter salt and mix
    Each batch produces over 5 bags of popcorn.

Fairy Floss Machines – Are they easy to use?

Absolutely. You’ll be spinning like a pro in minutes.

  1. Turn on the machine
  2. Set voltage to 220V (automatic on some models)
  3. Heat for 4 minutes
  4. Add 1 scoop of sugar mix to the spinner head
  5. Twirl the stick around the bowl in an anti-clockwise motion

Do I need to provide anything?

Just one standard power point and a sturdy table.
Note: Slushie machines cannot be placed on trestle tables due to weight.

Do I need to clean the machines?

No—cleaning is part of our service.
We simply ask that you empty the machines after use.
Every machine is delivered clean and ready to go.

Are bookings subject to Terms and Conditions?

Yes. Our Terms and Conditions must be accepted when booking online.
