26 March 18 - The Greyhound Adoption Program

As always it was great to be part of Greyhound Racing SA's Greyhound Adoption Program. This is a great initiative that finds good loving homes for the greyhounds after their racing days and also non racing dogs as well. The events are held at the Angle Park track and it is a great opportunity to see these beautiful dogs up close.

Did you know:

• Greyhounds make excellent pets as they are very affectionate and great with people.
• Retired greyhounds are very gentle dogs and also very docile sleeping up to 20 hours a day.
• Contrary to what you would expect greyhounds do not need a big backyard. They much prefer small spaces and will curl up into a ball and sleep.
• Greyhounds have great health especially when compared to other large dog breeds.
